An Introduction
The name honey itself gives a sense of sweetness. Almost every civilization on this earth has traditionally known and used honey. Since ancient times, honey has been used not only as a sweetening agent in food but also in medicine, cosmetic, rituals, etc. The cave paintings (near Valencia) in Spain from 150 centuries ago, show prehistoric man collecting honey from a wild nest.

Indira Apiaries Pvt. Ltd. is a leading name in the field of honey production. Established in the year 2002, we are a leading producer and exporter of Bulk Honey, Wild Honey, Indian Honey and Apiary Honey of Different Kinds of Flowers. We are a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU), exporting bulk of our products to many overseas regions like USA, Africa, Thailand, Bangladesh, Germany, UK and Middle East. We can produce 9000 metric tonnes of honey on an annual basis.

The Promoter
Indira
Apiaries Pvt. Ltd. was established by B. K. Roychoudhury, who developed a keen interest in bee keeping
and bee farming during his
service in the Border Security Force. He studied widely from various related scientific
journals and other sources and also associated himself with the Ludhiana
Horticulture University. He was involved in the teaching and practical
training of bee farming to villages, a project sponsored by the
University.
Mr. Roychoudhury was also a member of National Bee Board (NBB) in New Delhi. He
installed a plant for processing honey procured from different parts of
the states. At present, his annual supply of processed honey, both in
domestic and foreign markets, is about 9000 metric tonnes.
Products
We, Indira Apiaries Pvt. Ltd., are a progressive producer and exporter of the following range of healthy and delectable honey:
- Wild Honey: This type of honey is produced and collected from Sundarbans and other parts of the country
- Indian Honey: A branded product, it is sold in bottles of 50 grams to 1 kg. It is also available in pouch pack of 7 grams and 17 grams
- Bulk Honey
- Apiary Honey of Different Kinds of Flowers.
Quality
Honey is
produced in our apiaries with the perfect blend of traditional knowledge and modern
technology. We, at Indira Apiaries Pvt. Ltd., try to retain the original flavor, aroma, taste and
color of the honey. We use wooden and glass
containers for storing honey so that it does not become toxic. All the processes are minutely observed by our quality control analysts to ensure that the products are hygienic, tasty and healthy.
Our Infrastructure
An extremely well built infrastructure is an asset for Indira Apiaries Pvt. Ltd. We have in-house apiaries where bees are collected and kept in a clean, pollution free environment. This enables us to collect better quality honey which is hygienic and healthy. Our machines run smoothly to churn out a daily dose of honey to meet the stringent production demands.
Our professional honey collectors have an in-depth knowledge of the entire process and do not commit any error in maintaining the freshness of honey. Packaging is done with utmost care to avoid damage while in transit. A capacious warehouse, with cold storage facility, is a boon for us as it helps us in storing the products properly, thereby enabling us to meet all market demands.
